Feb. 14th, Saturday
Dear Diary:
I cooked another pie today. Today is Valentine Day but I didn't get a one but we did get a letter from Buster. I have been reading this afternoon. Artie and one of her sisters came down and Mother played cards with them. Bonnie Hicks(1) came and stayed a while with me this afternoon. It is now 6 o'clock and Dad has just come in from Madisonville.

Footnotes:

1. Bonnie Hicks.. Another Wilkey family moved into this very remote area of Kentucky. It is the Wiley Wilkey line and I have not been able to establish a connection. But the area is so remote, too remote to be an accident. My records show the daughter of Ethel Dora Wilkey and James Hicks as a Connie Marie Hicks. It is possible either I may have made an error in the spelling of Bonnie.
