March 15, Sunday
Dear Diary:
Rosemary and Evelyn went home this morning. Uncle Frank and Maude came this morning and Uncle Frank went back over to Uncle Glover's but Maude stayed and ate dinner with us, Uncle Frank came back and they went to Dawson. Clyde and Audrey are coming tonight. Mrs. Betty is spending the night with us.

March 16, Monday
Dear Diary:
Clyde brought some fruit last night. Mrs. Betty went home this morning before breakfast. Dany's folks have been here as usual. Mother has been piecing quilts. I got some crackers up the store to go with my peanut butter that Clyde brought last night. Peasnut butter is really a treat because I sure do like it. Dad has just got back from over about Uncle Glover's. His hogs got out and he had to get them back in the pen.

March 17th, Tuesday
Dear Diary:
Mother went up to Mrs. Betty this afternoon for Aunt Cynthia and Mary George was up there. Artie and I went down to Mrs. Janes to pick some turnip greens, I didn't get up until 8 o'clock this morning. The mail man came awful early and brought a letter from Carrie and Ken.

March 18th, Wednesday
Dear Diary:
We cooked our turnip greens today and they were awful good. I wrote a letter to Lee and Lillian this afternoon. It is raining a little today. I went to the store and got some more crackers and a tablet. Gladys Brown came this morning and stayed awhile and got some True Story magazines.

March 19th, Thrusday

Mother and I went up to Mrs. Betty's to see Mrs. Robards this morning. We went down to Dany's this afternoon and Artie came too. Mrs. Betty is staying all night with us. Marvin came with her to stay awhile. Artie came down and we have been playing cards.

March 20th, Friday
Dear Diary:
Dad went to Dawson this morning to get some things. Beulah Franklin and her kids came and Artie, Mother, Beulah and I played cards awhile. Then Mrs. Jane Brown came and we all sit around and talked. Mother is cooking supper now. Dad came back a few minutes ago. He bought and oil cloth, quilt, flour and a few other things.

March 21st, Saturday
Dear Diary:
Dad took his dinner over to the Clark Place. Iley is helping him put paper on the walls of the house over there. Dad got the paper at Dawson yesterday. It has been raining a little nearly all day. Mother and I have been awful busy piecing quilts and making cannas for the tabacco bed. Mr. Pearl Brown was here this morning.
