March 29th, Sunday
Dear Diary:
Mother and I went up to Clara Lantaff's this morning and picked some turnip
greens. No one has been here today except Frances Frankilin. She stayed
nearly all afternoon. Mother went down to Dany's awhile then came home
and went up to Artie's. Artie had a lot of company.
March 30th, Monday
Dear Diary:
Gladys Brown came up early this morning to get Mother to call the Doctor
for Mary Jewell. Mother, Beulah F. and Aunt Cynthia has been down there
all morning. Then Aunt Cynthia came home with Mother and I had dinner
ready. They said Mary Jewell had a baby girl. Aunt Cynthia is staying
all night with us.
March 31st, Tuesday
Dear Diary:
Aunt Cynthia went home early this morning. It begin raining. The Nebo
baznk was robbed early yesterday morning. The Robards boys were the robbers.
Mother and I went down to Mary Jewell's this afternoon and took her some
dried apples. I made some chocolate fudge today.
April 1st, Wednesday
Dear Diary:
Clyde and Dixon Purdy came down awhile last night. Bonnie Hicks came this
afternoon. She wanted to see Mary Jewell's baby so she went down there.
Marvin has been here also. We played cards, then Artie came and we all
played. Mother has beden quilting and Dad pruning his trees.
April 2, Thursday
It has rained a little nearly all day.
We got a nice Easter box from Edna and Rich this morning containing Easter
eggs, Chocolates and a couple of rubber balls. Dany's folks have been
here awhile this afternoon. It is the first time
in several several days. Mother got her quilt out today.
April 3rd, Friday
Dear Diary:
Mother cooked a cake this morning and a few other things. We are looking
for Beulah, Adeline, Lillian Harnor and Ruby Trayler, altho it is raining.
I got a letter from Beulah Wed. saying they were coming. We have been
trying to clean house a little. We also got a Easter Card from Carrie
and Ken today and I got one from Howard Franklin. I sent them one ther
other day.
April 4th, Saturday
Dear Diary:
Floyd and a bunch of men came last night and stayed until about mid-night.
They were on the hunt of the Robards boys. We haven't done much of anything
today. Beulah and the girls are having a pretty big time I think. Some
boys are coming tonight. Buster came home last night. I got a nice Easter
box from Carrie and Ken.
