May 10th, Sunday
Dear Diary:
None of the children have come today. We went down to Danies' and Artie came also. We stayed until about 4:30 and Dad didn't like it. He doesn't like for us to play cards. Mother talked to Clyde tonight. He said he was aiming to come today but couldn't get his fliver running. It has been kinds cold for the last few days. Beulah got a little graduation present from a girl at Hanson.

May 11th, Monday
Dear Diary:
I haven't done much today but I feel somewhat better. Mother and Dad are out planting garden. Nola Ree is with them. Aunt George Ann McGregor is sick. She has Pneumonia. Floyd and Mr. Ashby are coming down awhile tonight. I mailed five letters this morning but I wrote them all yesterday.

May 12th, Tuesday
Dear Diary:
Mother, Mrs. Betty and Aunt Cynthia went to see Aunt George Ann this morning with Herchel. Artie came down and churned for me. I didn't get much dinner and Dad went over to the Clark Place soon after. Mother and Aunt Cynthia came home and said that Aunt George Ann was dying. Aunt Cynthia is staying all night with us.

May 13th, Wednesday
Dear Diary:
Mother and Nola Ree went to Aunt George Ann's funeral this afternoon. I didn't go. I went up to Artie's and read. Then when Mother got back from the funeral we went up to Mrs. Bettys. This morning Aunt Cynthia and I went down to her house and got some big snowballs ( flowers ) and took them to the graveyard and put them on some graves. ( Judge Ruby Laffoon was elected Governor today.)

May 14th, Thursday

Dear Diary

Aunt Ella has finished making Nola Ree's dress and some flowers for Beulah. We went down to Dany's a little while but Daies' kids have been here nearly all day. I out on some pants today and am going to wear them. Beulah got a box of candy from St. Louis today

May 15th, Friday
Dear Diary:
Beulah got a box from Rufus and Janie this morning. Nola Ree and I went over to Aunt Ella's this morning to get some flowers. Clyde is going to drive Purdy's truck and take us to Dalton tonight. Beulah will graduate and then come home. Iley is cutting Dad's hair now. He is going to wear his new suit and Mother is going to wear a new dress.

May 16th, Saturday
Dear Diary:
Adeline came home with Beulah last night. Thery went down to Mrs. Jane's this afternoon but she wasn't home. We went down to Dany's but didn't stay long because Hubert and Tommy came. Hope Winfred has the whooping caugh. Mother, Nola Ree and I went down to the Church House this afternoon. Ruby Cullen called Mother and wanted her to come.
