Dear Diary
The roads were kinda slick this morning but they have dried out a lot
for the wind has blown. There was Church this morning but we didn;t go.
Archie, Flora, Cecil Mae and Clyde came this afternoon. Buster didn't
come home last night. He was going with Willie Mathews to Clay and Providence,
I think. Beulah came home a few minutes ago.

Dear Diary:
Today is my Birthday. I am 16 years old. I am getting up in the years.
The mail man brought me a letter from Carrie and Ken with a dollar in
it altho they didn't know it was my birthday. Today is just liked any
other day. Mother and I went down to Dany's awhile after dinner and then
they have been up here. Aunt Cynthia is staying at Mrs. Betty's now because
she has had a chance for the measles and Aunt Ella hasn't had them.

wheels. The mail man brought me a box of chocolates from Carrie and Ken
today, also a letter to get a book on nervousness and bashfulness.

live at Chicago. Ivey didn't come. Ruby, Ivey's oldest girl came. They
drove all night. We went to Madisonville this morning but it begin raining
after we got these and we didn't stay long. We were afraid the would get
slick. Uncle Eanis Sisk stayed at home while we were gone. He is staying
all night.
Footnotes:
1. Buster became a Nash dealer in Fulton,
Ky. around 1951. He didn't stay with it long and returned to his former
work. I remember my father purchased a 1951 Nash Rambler from him.
