Week 27 of the Diary starts.........

June 28th, Sunday
Dear Diary:
Audrey and Clyde are both home today. They didn't want to go any where but I went to the show. "The Fighting Carvances" was on. Coz. Charity and I are going to the Holiness meeting tonight. Anyone would think we are trying to get the Holy Ghost but not in your life.a dress and fixed it. Next I went down to Dixon's Shoe Shop and got a belt fixed. I also ordered me a piique hat from Sear Roebuck and Co. Judell Bumpus and I fixed to go to the Holiness meeting but found out there wasn't going to be any.

.June 29th, Monday
Dear Diary:
I have done lots of things today. First I washed out some clothes. Then I took the sleeves out of a dress and fixed it. Next I went down to Dixon's Shoe Shop and got a belt fixed. I also ordered me a piique hat from Sear Roebuck and Co. Judell Bumpus and I fixed to go to the Holiness meeting but found out there wasn't going to be any.

June 30th, Tuesday
Dear Diary:
Coz. Charity and I went to a real good tent show last night. When I say good I mean good. The name of it was "A City Wife and a Country Wife." Polly and Billy Orange are going with me tonight. One of the show girls came up today to get Coz. Charity to make a dress for her. I sure would like to be in a show like that.

July 1st, Wednesday
Dear Diary:
We went to the show last nigh night. "An Ace in the Hole or The Old Home Town" was what they presented. I am going tonight with Josephine Franklin. "An Innocent Sinner" is on. Ford, Magaline and the children have been here this afternoon. I received my hat I ordered and really like it.

July 2nd, Thursday
Dear Diary:
I was so sleepy this morning I could hardly get up. I didn't get in grom the show last night until about eleven o'clock. "The Hoodling" is on tonight and I am going and then coming back home with Mr. and Mrs. Orange, Billie and Polly. I haven't done much today except read.

July 3rd, Friday
Dear Diary:
Tonight the "Haunting Mystery" is on. Nokomas Orten, a girl that used to live in the house with Clyde and Audrey, is staying all night so she and I are going to the movie. We took a walk this afternoon and it has been raining some. It rained around 4 o'clock but has stopped now.

July 4th, Saturday
Dear Diary:
Bonnie and Buster came this morning before Nokomas and I got up. Bonnie came last night and spent the night with Flora and Arch and Buster came to get her this morning. So I come hoome also since I was aiming ti come home anyway. I sure had a nice time and certainly hate to miss the tent show tonight. It is their last night. "Arzonia" is on.
