Note: In your uncle's book, Vincent had four children: Sam, Sally, Margery, a nd Jonathan. In the chapter, " The Brothers and Sisters of Jonathan Ja ckson Wilkey", Hubert wrote concerning Sam (eldest), " He grew up to m anhood near the village Beulah in Hopkins County and then struck out fo r Alabama." He continues, " The names of Sam's children were Perry, R ichard, Franklin S., John, Margaret, Mary Jane, and Caroline. The Rev erend Perry's children were........Jerry Wellington Wilkey. Jerry's ch ildren were.......Milton, who was may dad. Vincent Wilkey was my great -great-great-grandfather!!

Hubert goes on to say, that most of his information on this branch cam e from Walter Powell Wilkey, of Chicago, and Grace Wilkey Thomas, a law yer in Atlanta, who is the granddaughter of Isom.

To date, I haven't been able to contact either of them. I was hoping t hat you had come across them, or their descendants, in your research. S hould you run across any new info, please contact me. It would be grea tly appreciated.
