Note: Dear Mr. Wilkey,
I've contacted you in the past so I'll refresh your memory as it ha s been a few years. My great great grandparents were Carter Wilkey and A rtemissa Kimball of Jefferson Co. Illinois. I was trying to find proof t hat Carter Sr. M.D. was my Carter's father as many suspected he was. I' ve finally found proof of just the opposite. I have a copy of the guard ianship papers for Carter and Artemissa's children (including my great g randfather Doc Henderson Wilkey). Joshua Wilkey, the son of Bennett Max ey, was made guardian of the children after Artemissa died, and it is s tated that he is the "borther-in-law" of Artemissa. I have additional p roof that Carter Sr. M.D. only had one son-Henry Wilkey M.D. The Carter W ilkey b. 1836 and Carter b. 1827-the son of Bennett Maxey are "one and t he same", so you may want to change that on your site.
Also, I would live a copy of the photos you have of the tombstones i n the Willbanks, Old Fellows and Sugar Camp cemeteries. There probably i s a way to download them from your site, however I can't figure out how . Duh! Would you mind attaching them to e-mails for me? I would really a ppreciate that. Thanks.
