Note: I found her in the 1850 census of McLean Co., KY. Her first husband's n ame was William and her son's name was John. She was living at the pro perty of Leonard Keplinger as a very young wife of William and John was 2 o r 3. It made me wonder if Leonard and William were related or if they w ere share croppers. Ten yrs later, she was married to Leonard with 3 n ew children and William was not listed, I guess he died. She and Leona rd married at his home and had Susan b. 1856, Leonard b. 1858, and Cath erine b. 1859. Susan is my line. She married Jake Rickard and had sev eral children. Their daughter Woodie Catherine Rickard was my grandmoth er's mother. I made a trip this summer to McLean County but was not su ccessful finding their graves.

I would love to know what quotes you know from her. I think things lik e that help keep our ancestors alive in some small way.

If you ever find out anymore about her, please let me know. I plan to t ry to find out more on her on my next trip to the Tennessee Archives. T hey have a lot of books on Dyer County. Williams is a very common name , though, so I hope I can find something.
